HyperQWK 1.0
©1994 Mark Wickens
=== ABOUT HyperQWK ===
HyperQWK is a stand-alone HyperCard 2.2 stack that lets you read QWK packets.
A QWK packet contains a bunch of messages from a bulletin board system, archived
for offline reading.
HyperQWK is fast, easy to use, and supports message saving, archiving, and
printing. Replying is not yet implemented. Full instructions are provided in the
online help.
Requires System 7 or later.
=== REGISTERING ===
HyperQWK is not free. If you continue using it after a trial period of 30 days,
please register your copy by sending $15 along with your name, address, phone
number, and e-mail address(es), if any, to the author:
Mark Wickens
115 Hillcrest Avenue, Suite 505
Mississauga, Ontario
CANADA L5B 3Y9
If you include an additional $10 ($15 outside North America), you will be sent a
disk containing the latest version of HyperQWK, in both stack (requires
HyperCard 2.2) and stand-alone versions, and a stack containing the QWK external
and documentation on its use. This includes a licence to use the QWK external in
stacks for your personal use.
For information on including the QWK external in commercial products, contact
the author at the above address or via e-mail at markw@io.org.
=== DISTRIBUTION ===
The HyperQWK stand-alone stack may be distributed freely provided no
modifications are made to the software and all files in the original archive are
included. You may not sell HyperQWK or include it as part of a commercial
product. This restriction does not apply to inclusion in shareware compilation
disks and CDs, which is permitted.
=== COPYRIGHT NOTICE ===
HyperQWK—including the QWK XFCN, ListWindoid XCMD, and Columns LDEF resources
contained in it—is copyrighted by its author, Mark Wickens. This stand-alone
version of HyperQWK contains portions which are ©1987-93 Apple Computer (see
the About box).
=== DISCLAIMER ===
While the author believes HyperQWK to be free of major problems, it is provided
“as is.” No warranties whatsoever are made as to its functionality.
=== COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS ===
If you discover a bug, have a suggestion for a future version, or just want to
make a comment on HyperQWK, the author can be contacted at markw@io.org on the
internet.
